Part-Time Communications Faculty
Job Summary
To support a diverse student body, the part-time Communications Faculty will teach public speaking and interpersonal communications courses in a hybrid and remote format, engaging with students and providing feedback while adhering to university policies.
Key responsibilities
- Implement courses as designed by the University, utilizing pre-built course shells
- Engage regularly with students through email, announcements, and online discussions
- Provide timely feedback on student work and maintain virtual office hours
Required qualifications
- A master's degree or PhD in Communications or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in communications
- Experience teaching communications, including public speaking, in an asynchronous online environment
- Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system is preferred
- A student-centered teaching approach
- Commitment to supporting the success of underserved students
