Part-Time Communications Faculty

Job Summary

To support a diverse student body, the part-time Communications Faculty will teach public speaking and interpersonal communications courses in a hybrid and remote format, engaging with students and providing feedback while adhering to university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement courses as designed by the University, utilizing pre-built course shells
• Engage regularly with students through email, announcements, and online discussions
• Provide timely feedback on student work and maintain virtual office hours

Required qualifications

• A master's degree or PhD in Communications or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in communications
• Experience teaching communications, including public speaking, in an asynchronous online environment
• Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system is preferred
• A student-centered teaching approach
• Commitment to supporting the success of underserved students
