Part-Time English Instructor
Job Summary
To support online undergraduate English classes starting in the Fall quarter, the part-time Assistant Faculty will interact with students, manage communications, and assist with grading and feedback in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze student activity and respond appropriately based on input from the lead instructor
- Assist in managing student communications and escalate unique issues to the lead instructor
- Monitor student engagement levels and provide recommendations to enhance participation
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in English or Communication from a regionally accredited institution
- Previous teaching experience is required; online teaching experience is preferred
- Professional certification in discipline specialty may be required based on course credentialing
- Experience working with diverse learning styles
- Proficient in using technology for facilitating learning, such as Zoom and Teams
