Part-Time Payer Contracting Specialist

Job Summary

To support a behavioral health treatment organization, the part-time Payer Contracting & Credentialing Specialist will manage payer contracting, credentialing, and reimbursement analysis while working remotely for approximately 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit commercial and Medicaid organizational applications, track contracting milestones, and coordinate managed care organization enrollment
• Review payer contracts and fee schedules to identify reimbursement variances and flag operational or financial risks
• Conduct focused reviews of billing practices against payer policies and maintain accurate contracting and enrollment records

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of behavioral health payer contracting experience, including Medicaid MCO enrollment
• Working knowledge of behavioral health CPT and HCPCS codes and level-of-care billing requirements
• Demonstrated ability to interpret Medicaid fee schedules and identify reimbursement discrepancies
• Strong written communication skills for delivering clear findings and recommendations
• Ability to prioritize assignments and manage deadlines independently
