Job Summary
Engaging students in a hybrid environment, the part-time Physics Faculty will implement courses, provide feedback, and hold virtual office hours while teaching both online and in-person in St. Petersburg, FL.
Key responsibilities
- Implement courses as designed by the University, utilizing pre-built course shells
- Engage regularly with students through email, announcements, and discussion boards
- Provide timely feedback on student work and maintain communication with the department chair regarding course issues
Required qualifications
- A master's degree or PhD in physics or a related field with at least 18 graduate credits in physics
- Experience teaching physics in an asynchronous online environment
- Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system is preferred
- A student-centered teaching approach
- Commitment to supporting the success of all students, particularly those underserved by traditional higher education
