Part-Time Psychiatry Consultant
Job Summary
To support a psychotropic medication management program, the part-time Psychiatry Consultant will provide clinical consultation to PMHNPs, assist in policy development, and participate in strategy discussions, all while working remotely with a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical consultation and case support to PMHNPs, focusing on complex psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- Assist with the creation of policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in occasional meetings for provider training and program strategy development
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state; additional licenses in TX, OK, and KS preferred
- Board certification in Psychiatry (ABPN) required
- Minimum 3 years post-residency experience in adult outpatient psychiatry preferred
- Experience collaborating with or supervising PMHNPs/APRNs is a plus
- Reliable remote setup for secure telecommunication and documentation
