Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Patent Agent Registered USPTO, the role focuses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications, collaborating with inventors and colleagues to evaluate invention disclosures, and developing patent strategies aligned with Nielsen's business goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting provisional and non-provisional utility patent applications in-house
• Prosecuting patent applications under supervision, including interviewing patent examiners and drafting office action responses
• Providing intellectual property support to engineering and product teams, including conducting patent audits and identifying patent whitespace

Required qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a patent agent, including drafting applications and conducting examiner interviews
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, with knowledge of media content distribution and data science methodologies
• Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
• Previous in-house patent preparation and prosecution experience valued
• Experience with AI-drafting tools valued
