Patient Access Associate

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Patient Access Associate will serve as a Call Center agent, performing registration activities to ensure patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic data while calculating financial responsibilities and processing payments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform registration activities to ensure accurate patient account information and insurance coverage
• Calculate patient financial responsibility and present financial options to patients
• Process patient payments and perform functions for multiple service lines across various sites

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• One year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, clinical roles, or related clerical/accounting/finance/customer service required
• Preferred three years of healthcare revenue cycle or call center experience
• Prior Epic experience preferred
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association or as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred
