Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the remote Patient Access Representative will proactively request and obtain prescriptions and insurance authorizations for an assigned portfolio of patients, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up with medical offices and insurance payers.

Key responsibilities

• Request and obtain prescriptions and authorizations from medical offices and insurance companies
• Follow up with providers and payers to ensure timely receipt of required documentation
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with HIPAA and regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, medical office, or insurance-related experience
• Experience with insurance authorizations or precertifications preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Home health, DME, or enteral experience a plus
