Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

To support patient access services, the full-time Patient Access Representative will manage scheduling, registration, benefit verification, and financial clearance processes while providing exceptional customer service in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient entrance into facilities through scheduling, registration, and financial clearance
• Communicate financial responsibilities to patients, request payments, and document financial conversations
• Maintain accurate patient data and knowledge of insurance carriers and Medicare guidelines

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college education preferred
• 1-3 years of clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare staff
