Patient Access Scheduler

Job Summary

To support patient care operations, the full-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage scheduling, pre-registration, and inquiries from patients and providers, working onsite in Normal, Illinois, during daytime hours from Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and document inquiries from patients and providers via telephone and electronic correspondence
• Educate patients and providers on insurance, services, and scheduling options
• Obtain and verify patient demographics and insurance information in the HIS system

Required qualifications

• Experience in customer service roles
• Proficiency in scheduling and pre-registration processes
• Knowledge of healthcare services and insurance processes
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
