Patient Access Scheduler

Job Summary

To support a pediatric healthcare team, the full-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage incoming calls, schedule patient appointments across various divisions, and initiate billing processes while working remotely from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Answers telephones professionally and notifies referring offices of patient appointment details
• Schedules, cancels, and modifies patient examinations as necessary, ensuring accuracy in scheduling modalities
• Participates in educational programs to maintain skills and competency levels

Required qualifications

• Experience in patient scheduling or a related field
• Knowledge of healthcare protocols and insurance verification processes
• Proficiency in scheduling software and systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus
