Job Summary

Detail-oriented and patient-focused, the full-time Patient Access Scheduler will manage scheduling for hospital outpatient services, ensure a seamless registration process, and confirm necessary authorizations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule hospital outpatient services, including imaging, tests, and therapy sessions
• Confirm necessary authorizations for procedures and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Communicate appointment details and handle patient inquiries, rescheduling, and cancellations professionally

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• Previous experience in hospital outpatient scheduling or patient registration preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 codes
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital scheduling software
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
