Job Summary

To support patient access operations, the part-time Patient Access Specialist will manage scheduling, registration, and insurance verification tasks from a remote work site in Chicago, IL.

Key responsibilities

• Managing patient scheduling and registration processes efficiently
• Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
• Coordinating communication between patients and healthcare providers

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare preferred
• Previous experience in a patient access or healthcare administrative role
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to work flexible hours, including day shifts
