Patient Access Specialist
Job Summary
To support a fully remote healthcare team, the Patient Access Specialist will manage client accounts, verify and correct registration and insurance information, and ensure timely billing compliance while maintaining a minimum accuracy rate of 95%.
Key responsibilities
- Manages multiple client accounts and monitors for missing information and low volumes
- Utilizes coding applications to update demographic records and resolves related errors
- Takes ownership of escalated issues, ensuring timely claim submissions and effective communication with internal teams
Required qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Minimum of one year experience in the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of insurance types and payer requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Athena IDX is a plus
