Patient Account Associate II

Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time Patient Account Associate II will manage payment details, resolve account issues, and navigate payer claim portals while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Researching, validating, and adjusting payment postings to ensure timely account resolution
• Interpreting payer contracts and initiating recoupments and refunds as necessary
• Training new and existing associates while mentoring peers in payment handling and revenue cycle processes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• One (1) year of experience in hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle required
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required
• Preferred two (2) years of experience in insurance-related activities such as billing or follow-up
