Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Patient Account Representative 2 will manage billing forms and electronic claims submission, analyze unresolved insurance accounts, and perform follow-up actions on claims to ensure accurate reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Edit, prepare, and submit various billing forms and electronic claims in compliance with regulations
• Analyze and resolve issues with denied, rejected, and unpaid insurance accounts
• Communicate with medical staff and third-party payers to obtain and verify billing information

Required qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in patient accounting, customer service, or a related office environment
• Knowledge of UB, CMS 1500, ADA billing forms, and payer requirements
• Experience with insurance billing, claims processing, and follow-up
• Familiarity with Epic Hospital Billing and registration systems is preferred
