Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

To support patient financial services, the full-time remote Patient Account Representative will manage billing submissions, analyze insurance accounts, and perform follow-ups on claims to ensure accurate resolution of patient accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Edit, prepare, and submit various billing forms and electronic claims in compliance with regulations
• Analyze unresolved insurance accounts and take corrective actions on denied or unpaid claims
• Communicate with Medical Center staff and third-party payers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues

Required qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in patient accounting, customer service, or a related office environment
• Knowledge of UB, CMS 1500, ADA billing forms, and payer requirements
• Experience with Epic Hospital Billing and/or SBO billing systems
• Familiarity with claims processing, follow-up, and denials in a healthcare setting
