Patient Accounts Analyst

Job Summary

Managing all aspects of the revenue cycle for assigned clinic locations, the full-time remote Patient Accounts Analyst I will ensure timely resolution of system edits, insurance denials, and patient billing issues while providing insights to improve revenue cycle processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review workflow dashboards and accounts receivable aging reports to identify trends affecting clinic revenue cycle outcomes
• Research and resolve billing delays, insurance denials, and payment discrepancies to ensure timely account submissions and payments
• Develop and present end-of-month accounts receivable reporting for multiple sites, collaborating with clinic personnel to prevent recurring billing issues

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience with revenue cycle accounts receivable processes
• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle operations required
• Experience with Athena, Epic, or other practice management systems preferred
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes and payer reimbursement policies
