Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support franchise partners in maximizing revenue, the full-time remote Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage the collection of outstanding patient accounts, ensuring effective communication with patients and stakeholders while processing payments and verifying financial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Research accounts to determine self-pay balances and review benefits verification forms to assess patient financial responsibilities
• Process patient payments, set up payment arrangements, and identify accounts for potential write-offs or further collection options
• Maintain clear communication regarding patient account balances and assist with enrollment in patient assistance programs

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous self-pay collections experience, preferably in a medical or infusion setting
• Proven understanding of collection processes and systems
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and pharmacy applications
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
