Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage the collection of outstanding patient accounts receivable, ensuring effective communication with patients and franchise partners while maintaining productivity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Research accounts to determine self-pay balances and review financial responsibilities based on admission agreements
• Process patient payments, set up payment arrangements, and identify accounts for potential write-offs
• Assist patients with enrollment in assistance programs and provide clear financial communication regarding their accounts

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in self-pay collections, preferably in a medical or infusion setting
• Proven understanding of collection processes and techniques
• Strong knowledge of MS Office suite and pharmacy applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance
