Patient Accounts Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for accurately billing patient accounts, the full-time Patient Accounts Specialist I will ensure timely submission and reimbursement from third-party payers and patients while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Determine patients' ability to pay and seek additional assistance through payment plans or uncompensated care
• Resolve billing issues to ensure accurate claim submission and follow up on aged accounts
• Document and respond to patient correspondence promptly and courteously

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in revenue cycle
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must complete Orlando Health team member development within 6 months of hire date
