Patient Collections Representative

Job Summary

As a remote Patient Collections Representative, the full-time role will manage inbound and outbound calls to assist clients' customers with outstanding balances, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and TCPA guidelines while maintaining positive relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls to arrange debt repayment based on patients' financial situations and client guidelines
• Record updates and manage patient disputes, escalating to supervisors as necessary
• Ensure all required statements are sent and assist with outbound calls when needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma
• Minimum one year of experience in collections/self-pay in healthcare
• Minimum one year of experience in customer service within the healthcare sector
• Understanding of HIPAA and TCPA guidelines
• Experience with Cerner is a plus
