Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the part-time hourly Patient Collections Specialist will manage inbound and outbound patient communications to resolve outstanding balances, review and mail statements, and set up payment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all functions related to the collection of payments on patient accounts
• Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibilities for services
• Answer questions, take payments, and resolve issues through inbound and outbound phone calls

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred, with call center experience advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
