Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the part-time hourly Patient Collections Specialist will manage inbound and outbound patient communications to resolve outstanding balances, review and mail patient statements, and set up payment plans while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all functions related to the collection of payments on patient accounts
• Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibilities for services rendered
• Answer questions, take payments, and resolve issues through inbound and outbound phone calls

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Experience in a call center environment preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
