Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Handling inbound and outbound patient phone calls, the part-time hourly Patient Collections Specialist will manage the collection of outstanding balances, review and mail patient statements, and set up payment plans in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage all functions related to the collection of payment on patient accounts
• Communicate directly with patients regarding their financial responsibilities for services rendered
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, answer questions, take payments, and resolve issues

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred, with call center experience being a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
