Patient Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Handling inbound and outbound patient communications, the part-time hourly Patient Collections Specialist will manage outstanding balances, set up payment plans, and propose accounts for bad debt in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for all functions related to the collection of payment on patient accounts
• Communicates directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility for services
• Handles inbound and outbound phone calls, answers questions, takes payments, and resolves issues

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• One year of clerical experience in a health care setting preferred
• Experience in a call center environment preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
