Patient Coverage Representative

Job Summary

To ensure accurate billing and insurance verification, the full-time Patient Coverage Representative will manage incoming calls, update electronic health records, and perform coverage updates remotely from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Receives and processes incoming calls to verify and update patient insurance information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Performs daily updates based on Visit Filing Order changes to ensure claims are sent to the correct payors
• Communicates with team members regarding patient-initiated insurance concerns through Customer Relationship Management requests

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in health care, focusing on registration, insurance, and billing
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payors
• Basic understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
• Proficiency in data entry with an emphasis on speed and accuracy
