Job Summary
To support patient financial advocacy efforts, the full-time Patient Financial Advocate will work remotely to identify eligible patients for financial assistance, secure funding through applications, and maintain accurate case documentation while serving as a primary contact for client accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and enroll patients in financial assistance programs by reviewing financial and clinical information and submitting applications
- Coordinate with hospital staff and patients to gather necessary documentation and provide ongoing support throughout the advocacy process
- Manage post-enrollment tasks, including submitting claims, ordering medications, and ensuring accurate documentation in electronic systems
Required qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with manufacturer Patient Assistance Programs and copay cards
- At least 3 years of EMR experience, with familiarity in Epic preferred
- Minimum 2 years of medical oncology experience, including financial advocacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Teams, and Excel
