Patient Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

To support patient services, the full-time Patient Financial Clearance Representative will perform insurance verification and secure authorizations remotely, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Completes insurance verification and eligibility determinations using electronic systems and payer websites
• Contacts patients to obtain necessary information and follows up on pending authorization requests
• Identifies and escalates coverage and benefit issues to minimize financial risk and ensure timely authorizations

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of experience in patient registration and insurance verification processes in a medical organization
• Familiarity with healthcare payers, including Medicare and Managed Care plans
• Epic experience preferred
