Patient Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

Providing essential support in a remote environment, the full-time Patient Financial Clearance Representative will manage patient information, validate insurance eligibility, and assist with financial counseling while also training new representatives and ensuring data accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and clinical staff regarding eligibility and benefit issues, coordinating necessary actions
• Prioritizes and resolves missing or incorrect patient account data to ensure accurate registration before appointments
• Provides real-time training and mentorship to new representatives, enhancing team capabilities and performance

Required qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting, including knowledge of health insurance plans
• One (1) year of experience in insurance plan authorization or medical billing
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with patient registration or medical billing systems is preferred
