Patient Financial Clearance Representative

Job Summary

To support financial operations, the full-time Patient Financial Clearance Representative will manage financial clearance activities for patients, including verifying insurance eligibility and communicating patient financial responsibilities in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm completeness of patient registration data and verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Calculate and collect patient liability estimates and communicate financial responsibilities clearly to patients
• Coordinate with health plans for authorizations and referrals as required for patient services

Required qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting, including experience with insurance plans
• One year of experience in insurance plan authorization and referral requirements or medical billing
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience using personal computers and various software applications
• Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered focus
