Patient Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

To support mental health accessibility, the full-time Patient Financial Clearance Specialist will investigate and communicate mental health benefits, generate cost estimates, and counsel patients on financial options, all while working remotely from TX, NC, SC, or FL.

Key responsibilities

• Verify mental health eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements using various communication methods
• Contact patients to inform them of their financial responsibilities and provide counseling on available options
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve insurance issues and maintain accurate patient records

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, insurance verification, or healthcare
• Call center experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits and mental health coverage
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with patients and staff
