Patient Financial Counselor

Job Summary

Providing financial counseling to patients remotely, the full-time Patient Financial Counselor will assist with navigating payment options, Medicaid eligibility, and financial assistance programs while performing account analysis to educate guarantors on their financial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist patients with understanding payment options and financial assistance programs
• Perform account analysis and develop action plans to resolve financial responsibilities
• Handle patient inquiries from the Patient Financial Services call center

Required qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in Financial Counseling, Self-Pay Collections, Call Center, Billing, and/or Health Care
• Knowledge of registration, coding, insurance billing, and payment methodology
• Some trade course classes in accounting, business, and/or communications are beneficial
