Job Summary
To support patient financial services, the full-time Patient Financial Services Representative will estimate, communicate, and collect patient financial responsibilities while providing financial counseling, working remotely for candidates residing in MO, IL, OK, or WI.
Key responsibilities
- Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities
- Educates patients about financial assistance programs when applicable
- Obtains patient demographic information and verifies insurance coverage with third-party payers
Required qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- No prior experience required
- Proficiency with Epic, Hospital Billing (HB), and Professional Billing (PB)
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work day shifts, Monday through Friday
