Patient Financial Services Representative

Job Summary

To support patient inquiries related to billing and insurance, the full-time Patient Financial Services Representative will manage communications, negotiate payment resolutions, and assist with insurance understanding while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively contact patients to negotiate and resolve outstanding balances, offering payment options and setting up payment plans
• Handle all communications regarding billing inquiries, insurance claims, and service disputes, ensuring documentation and appropriate routing of concerns
• Assist patients in understanding their explanation of benefits and address service-related issues by routing them to the appropriate teams

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication and negotiation skills for resolving financial and service-related issues
• Experience in healthcare collections, billing, or customer service is preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare billing processes, insurance claims, and medical terminology is preferred
• Familiarity with HIPAA and FDCPA regulations is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently resolve patient concerns
