Patient Financial Services Specialist

Job Summary

As a key point of contact for patients, the full-time Patient Financial Services Specialist will manage billing inquiries, resolve outstanding balances, and provide support through various communication channels in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for patients regarding billing questions via phone, email, and chat
• Manage patient billing and collections using practice management software
• Monitor trends in patient inquiries and escalate recurring issues to management

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Previous experience in patient billing, collections, and healthcare customer service
• Strong understanding of insurance processes and claims denial/rejection
• Proficiency in electronic health record software, preferably Athena
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and team members
