Job Summary

Assisting surgical patients with their financial needs, the full-time Patient Financial Specialist will manage the complete patient billing cycle, including payment arrangements and collaboration with financial aid teams, while working remotely during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with payment methods and financial arrangements for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with financial aid and insurance enrollment teams to connect uninsured patients with appropriate resources
• Act as a liaison between patients and billing departments to coordinate financial arrangements and resolve billing inquiries

Required qualifications

• Minimum of six years of verifiable work experience in healthcare financial or revenue cycle roles
• General knowledge of the healthcare billing arena
• Experience with Google spreadsheets or Microsoft Excel
• Ability to articulate financial details calmly and professionally to patients
• Experience with analytical duties and decision-making in process improvement
