Patient Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support new patient admissions, the remote Patient Intake Specialist will gather required information, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter accurate demographic and clinical information for new patient admissions
• Verify insurance coverage and submit follow-ups on authorizations as necessary
• Communicate with patients and internal departments to ensure timely completion of intake requirements

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support
• Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Background in home health, DME, or medical office is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
