Patient Intake Specialist

Job Summary

To support new patient admissions, the remote Patient Intake Specialist will gather and verify patient information, manage insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps while ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter accurate demographic and clinical information for new patient admissions
• Verify insurance coverage and manage authorizations as needed
• Communicate with patients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of intake requirements

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support
• Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Familiarity with healthcare documentation and insurance workflows
• Background in home health, DME, or medical office is a plus
