Patient Research Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle, the remote Patient Research Specialist will review EMS patient care reports, validate insurance and demographic information, and ensure accurate data for claim coding and billing in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive and process EMS patient care reports, ensuring prompt and accurate handling of cases
• Research and verify insurance coverage, confirming active policies for the date of service
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing data prior to claims submission for coding

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities accurately
• Experience working independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in computer literacy, including navigating multiple systems and dual monitors
• Ability to maintain high-quality work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
