Patient Research Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle, the remote Patient Research Specialist will manage the review of EMS patient care reports, validate insurance coverage, and ensure accurate demographic data to facilitate clean claims and timely reimbursements.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive and process EMS patient care reports, ensuring prompt and accurate handling
• Research and verify insurance information to confirm active coverage for the date of service
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing data before claims are submitted for coding

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities accurately
• Experience working independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in using computer systems and navigating multiple applications simultaneously
• Ability to maintain composure and deliver quality work under pressure
