Job Summary
Serving as the initial point of contact for patients seeking medical assistance, the full-time Patient Scheduler will manage high call volumes, gather patient information, and coordinate scheduling for various services while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls and online requests from patients, ensuring accurate pre-registration and insurance verification
- Schedule a wide range of patient appointments and procedures across multiple departments, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical and scheduling information
- Support population management and chronic disease initiatives through patient registry and outbound calling efforts
Required qualifications
- Graduate of an LPN, Medical Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT, or similar program
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting, with a preference for clinical scheduling and call center experience
- Strong keyboarding skills and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection meeting specified standards
- Knowledge of patient registration and scheduling processes
