Job Summary
Offering a blend of in-office and remote work, the part-time Payment Posting Specialist will process and reconcile electronic remittance files, post payments and contractual adjustments, and research patient accounts using the Business Office System (Epic) in Pearland, Texas.
Key responsibilities
- Process and reconcile electronic remittance files against deposits and resolve discrepancies
- Post payments and contractual adjustments, ensuring accurate revenue reporting
- Research patient accounts and interpret EOBs and RAs, understanding coordination of benefits
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of business office experience and 1+ year in coordination of benefits & EOB/RA interpretations
- Proficiency in 10 key/data entry with analytical skills, requiring 7000 kph
- Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding
- Demonstrated computer knowledge and ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs
