Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist, the full-time remote role will manage payment posting, adjustments, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and meeting departmental deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Post payments, adjustments, denials, and refunds from ERA/835 files and manually from insurance remittance advices and EOBs
- Balance daily cash posting activities and resolve variances prior to close
- Research and correct posting errors, unidentified payments, and unapplied cash while maintaining productivity standards
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare cash posting experience in a relevant environment
- Demonstrated experience with Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA/835) and manual payment posting
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and denial processes
- Experience with MEDITECH systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and reporting activities
