Payment Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

To support the management of denials and underpayments, the remote Payment Recovery Specialist will conduct root-cause analysis, collaborate with various departments, and assist in appeals while ensuring compliance with contract terms.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of denials to identify process gaps and recommend improvements
• Support appeal efforts by obtaining necessary documentation and following up with payors for resolution
• Monitor payments for compliance with contract terms and collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
• Three years of healthcare clerical experience required
• Experience with advanced follow-up and denials/appeals strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with payer portals required
