Payment Specialist, Long Term Disability

Job Summary

Supporting the claims organization, the remote Payment Specialist, Long Term Disability will calculate and issue disability payments while managing payment tracking systems and collaborating with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and document payments in the system, ensuring accurate tracking of claims and outcomes
• Communicate with employers, claims specialists, and claimants to gather financial data necessary for benefit calculations
• Review information from multiple sources to make informed decisions regarding claims and payment adjustments

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 - 3 years of experience in a financial services environment related to payroll or claims
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and deadlines
• Experience in handling complex financial calculations and contract provisions
