Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Payment Variance Specialist will manage payer disputes, recover additional reimbursements, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders regarding inventory resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate payer disputes and follow inventory through to resolution, addressing issues like contractual payment discrepancies and billing integrity
- Maintain timely follow-up on open inventory using both written and verbal communication
- Proactively communicate with leadership and stakeholders about inventory status and potential roadblocks
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree or 1-2 years of experience in managed care reimbursement and contracts
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience in account/dispute resolution processes, preferably in healthcare
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT Coding, and various billing formats
