Payments Domain Architect
Job Summary
Leading the payments area of a large-scale digital commerce platform, the full-time Payments Domain Architect will design and implement payment operations, ensuring reliability and security across various transaction types while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and roadmap for payment systems, making major design decisions and establishing clear ownership
- Create safe and reliable payment operations, implementing patterns for retries and reconciliation
- Engineer fault tolerance and oversee testing strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of payment processes
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on payments
- Strong domain-driven design background and deep hands-on skills in C# and .NET 8+
- Experience with Temporal or a similar durable workflow platform and Kafka
- Proficiency in Azure platform services or GCP equivalents
- Knowledge of PCI DSS and tokenization practices
