Payments Reconciliation Lead
Job Summary
To support the reconciliation service for K-12 school clients, the Payments Reconciliation Lead will manage the setup of procedures, hire and train a small team, and ensure daily financial accuracy, all in a 100% remote contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Develop written procedures for district reconciliation workflows, including quality checks
- Hire and train a team of 5 to 10 reconciliation specialists through staffing partners or offshore vendors
- Track daily reconciliation tasks and ensure all files are reviewed before client delivery
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in accounting operations, treasury, payments, or merchant services with direct reconciliation experience
- 2+ years of experience leading or supervising a reconciliation or back-office team
- Proficiency in writing procedures and quality checks for operational processes
- Working knowledge of the card dispute and chargeback process from the merchant perspective
- Experience producing or validating ERP import files; familiarity with Munis is a plus
