Payments Risk Manager

Job Summary

Leading the risk management efforts for payments, the full-time remote Payments Risk Manager will develop merchant risk policies, oversee transaction monitoring strategies, and ensure compliance with card network obligations while enhancing the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchant risk policies, including onboarding criteria and ongoing monitoring
• Manage transaction monitoring strategies and dispute resolution processes to improve win rates
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to align on risk appetite and compliance obligations

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in payments risk, preferably in a leadership or cross-functional role
• Expertise in payments, including acquiring, underwriting, chargebacks, and transaction monitoring
• Familiarity with Stripe or similar platforms, particularly in a Connect context
• Ability to write actionable policies and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Proficiency in data analysis, including experience with SQL or similar tools
